Gig Of The Week: Antony and the Johnsons / Teenage Cancer Trust Concerts @ Royal Albert Hall
A great gig for a fantastic cause, and seemingly a perfect match of venue and performer. The venerable space of the Royal Albert Hall plays host to a series of gigs in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust; the highlight of which has to be the Antony and the Johnsons-led evening on Tuesday. Backed by two BBC ‘Sound of 2009′ nominees, Florence and the Machine and my tip for ‘09 Northampton’s VV Brown. Close runner up is the gala Folk night on Wednesday headed by Fairport Convention. Tickets are still available for the ‘Johnsons, so support a good cause and head over to see some great music too.
